Let’s play ball!

6 01 2011

Today, we are going to use some REAL LIFE numbers, straight from Major League Baseball. I have linked here to a website.
All you have to do is choose one of the categories by clicking on it. (Note: I want you to click on Single Season for whichever category you chose)

Using that category, You will need to

1) create four different statements,

2)write the equation, and

3) graph the equation ON A “POSTER” size piece of paper

You must include the greater than sign for one statement, less than, less than or equal to, and greater than or equal to- a total of FOUR different statements.

Please include some graphics on your paper- whether it be your drawing, something you print off, whatever. You may only work in groups of 2.

My example: I chose Home Runs, then I clicked on Single Season.

Barry Bonds has hit 73 home runs or less in his career. B < 73

and next you would have to graph it.

Reminder: You have to use each inequality- less than, more than, at least, and at most- and use the right  sign!!
