Inequalities

This is an inequality!

This is review for most of you. So it should be pretty easy.

I’m going to give a link to a site- this one- that once you click it, it will take you to a website where you can see the avg temperatures for every day in January.

You have 2 questions you must answer with an expression. Here they are:

1)What was the highest temperature ever recorded for the month of January? Write an inequality for it. Use J as your variable.

2) What what the lowest temperature ever recorded for the month of January? Use Y as your variable, and write another inequality.

NOTE: Some of you will remember there are 4 inequality signs: <,>, and the other two you can’t type. So, here is where we improvise.

Just use the underscore symbol, which you get when you hit shift and dash at the same time (right next to the plus button) along with the symbol.

So, <_ would mean less than or equal to and >_ would mean greater than or equal to.

Go to the bottom of this post, and leave a comment, as usual, WITH YOUR ANSWER!!. Leave your name(s), remember, no more than 2 can be in a group. Be sure to include your hour as well. Also, your post will not show up until I approve it. I won’t approve it until all classes have answered, so they can’t see your answer :) .
