Today’s assignment is all about the box and whiskers!

You are going to download a file that is going to take awhile.
The file is gas prices from today, back until a way long time ago. Like 2008. Even back to when there were dinosaurs on Earth, like 1920.
I doubt many of you have much experience with Microsoft Excel, so here are your instructions once you open the file:
Look at the very bottom of the Excel file. There are tabs at the bottom. Click the one called Gasoline A (It’s the 2nd tab).
Now you have a graph. You will need to put your mouse over the blue line, and we can get the actual price of gasoline for each year. Here are the years I want you to write down the prices of gasoline:
1920,1930, 1940, 1960, 1970, 1980, 1990, 2000, 2002, 2006 and 2008. Label and write these down on your paper.
Next, all you have to do is make a box and whiskers of the numbers you found.
Lastly, you are required to reflect- what did you notice about the gas prices? Did they go up considerably over a certain time period? What reasons can you think of that would cause that, if it did happen? I need to see 3-5 sentences.
Grading-
up to 3 points for getting the correct numbers from the chart
up to 5 points for correcting creating the box and whiskers plot
up to 2 points for reflecting in 3-5 sentences
